This is a critical time for the Council and in particular the Public Health Team who are at the forefront of our response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are looking to recruit a hard-working, organised and motivated individual to join us, helping the team by supporting the delivery of an effective response to Covid.
The Role:
The role of Development Support Manager is varied and will involve the right person having a flexible approach to the many different requirements. You will be responsible for management and support of specific projects, process development and improvement activity as well as ensuring necessary governance is in place in the context of the wider Council’s corporate management and governance arrangements and multi-agency governance arrangements.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for someone proactive with a solution focused approach. They will have excellent organisational and planning skills, a good understanding of governance processes within local government and experience of project management and/or service improvement.
This role is initially until the end of June 2021, and we are happy to consider either a Fixed Term Internal Transfer or a Fixed Term contract. The role will involve home working, with some office based work if necessary in line with the Council’s current guidance.
Depending on the COVID situation the post holder may be required to work extended hours as and when particular issues arise. The Council operates a flex-time scheme which allows for additional hours to be claimed back as time-in-lieu.
