An exciting opportunity has arisen within Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service - Technical Service Manager.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to take on this pivotal role, leading and managing our Technical Services here at Cumbria Fire and Rescue.
About the role
This role will give you the opportunity to develop and deliver the fleet, PPE and equipment strategies, as well as deliver fleet maintenance, procurement and transport resources, including improving the provision for all stakeholders and customers.
You will take an active role in supporting the Services Leadership team in the drive for transformation and associated change across the Service, providing project delivery and technical expertise to ensure services are delivered in order to meet all legal, ethical and economic responsibilities.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who can bring a wealth of experience and knowledge in fleet management, a track record of delivering service improvements, as well as successful experience of planning and management of complex projects, to our team.
You will need a strong political awareness, with the ability to communicate and influence effectively with elected members, partners, senior management and staff, while maintaining strong and lasting working relationships.
