The Resilience Unit prepares and maintains plans to enable Cumbria County Council to meet its responsibilities in emergencies and deal with any major incident or natural disaster with minimum disruption or damage to life, property and the environment. The unit works with a wide range of partner organisations including the emergency services, local councils, health service, armed forces and government departments and you’ll work with the Emergency Planning Officers to develop and review emergency management arrangements, helping to support local communities. This is a busy team and you’ll be involved in a huge range of tasks and work areas and we’ll support you every step of the way.
