Are you a caring and considerate person, who could join our team and work to make a difference in the lives of our service users?
We are looking to recruit friendly and hard-working people to join our team at Hensingham Day Service, working to enable the recovery of day centres for adults with learning disabilities.
This would be a good opportunity for someone who is looking to join a wonderful team and gain some experience providing care to people who have a learning disability in a community setting.
As a support worker, you will be involved with developing individually tailored care programmes for each service user, promoting their emotional and physical well-being. Our team works hard to provide effective, person centred support to our service users, some of whom have complex and challenging needs.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for people with flexibility, enthusiasm, and initiative to bring new ideas and skills as we look at options of support in day centres whilst we work through the process of reopening services. You will be compassionate, understanding, willing to undertake training and have experience of working in a person-centred role, ideally with people with a learning disability.
Experience of working in a person-centred role, ideally with people with a learning disability, would be great although not essential, and a full induction will be given. We are a close-knit team, and we are looking for a great team player to join us.
This role requires an enhanced DBS check with an Adults Barred List check. Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Adults.
