We are looking to recruit a permanent Support Worker to join our well-established team at Eskdale House. We pride ourselves on delivering quality support and care to our residents, whilst maintaining an environment of safety and respect.
About us
Eskdale House, based in the centre of Longtown, is a care home for the elderly, the physically frail and for those living with Dementia, and we work hard to provide them with a secure, homely and comfortable environment. We currently have 17 residents and the ideal candidate will be someone who can make a direct and positive impact to their wellbeing.
The Role
Being a Support Worker is an excellent step to beginning your career in Care. This is a varied, challenging and incredibly rewarding role where you will get to know our residents and support their wellbeing by providing both physical and emotional support.
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for administering medication, ensuring all security checks are completed, dealing with emergencies and assisting our Residents with any of their needs. It is a fulfilling role, with a great deal of responsibility, and we are looking for people with good responses, the ability to adapt and who can make safe and confident decisions to support the wellbeing of our residents.
Who we are looking for:
We're looking for people who are passionate about looking after people and supporting all our residents’ wellbeing. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ2 in Health and Care, but we are also happy to support the right people through this training.
Overall, the ideal candidate would be caring, open, considerate and sensitive to the needs of our residents.
