Salary: 36,371 – 37,568
The advertised salaries include a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.

The South Fostering Team have a position available for a Level 5.5 Social Worker. This is a great opportunity for the right person to join a busy team to provide support and supervision to Foster carers alongside assessment. The role is varied and challenging, and includes recruitment and training of foster carers, whilst offering support and supervision.
Fostering is an essential role to allow children, who are unable to live with their usual care giver, a safe environment in the short or long term. Children need a safe home to develop and process the trauma and loss that is often involved in reasons for removal. The supervision and support of foster carers facilitated by Fostering Social Workers means that we foster and encourage supportive and therapeutic care.
The successful candidate will have a key role in the training and supervision of foster carers to meet the complex needs of children. Ideally, you will have experience working with children and families pre, post or during proceedings. Applicants must have good assessment and report writing skills, and be confident in appearing before panels.
We are looking for someone organised and professional, who can meet deadlines, complete work, deliver training someone, who prioritises integrity and consistency.
This role will require travel in and around the county.

This role requires an enhanced DBS check with an Adults and Childrens Barred List check. Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Adults and Children.
