An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager post as part of the Children Looked After Team based in Barrow and South Lakeland Children & Young People District.
As Team Manager you will be responsible for a team ensuring that Looked After Children and, those young people who have left care, receive an appropriate level of service, working in partnership with colleagues from within the Council and other agencies.
In this role, you will be managing a team of social workers, CLA officers and Leaving Care Advisors, all working with vulnerable children and their families, ensuring they are in line with quality, national and legislative standards. You will be required to provide clear management oversight and effective decision making in order to meet our customer’s needs in a timely way, but also to support your colleagues. You will also need to manage and coordinate work activities in line with the service priorities, along with developing effective partnership arrangements with all appropriate stakeholders, always with the children and family needs at the heart.
