Salary: £25,481 - £25,991 (pro rata)
The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.

The Gables are recruiting for a Lead Support Worker to join our team and to help us deliver exceptional service. This as a permanent opportunity and ideal for someone looking to gain good experience and further their career.
We are situated on Cleator Moor Road, Whitehaven, and The Gables is a newly built care home that provides a safe, secure, and comfortable environment to those who are physically frail, highly dependent and people with Dementia.
The role of a Lead Support Worker
This is a varied, challenging and incredibly rewarding role where you will directly contribute to the delivery of high-quality support and care to our residents. You will also work closely with the Supervisor, taking an active, positive, and constructive part in the wider team.
You will also be ensuring all security checks are completed, administering medication, dealing with emergencies, and assisting our Residents with any of their needs. It is a fulfilling role, with a great deal of responsibility, and we are looking for someone with good responses; the ability to adapt; and who can make safe and confident decisions to support the wellbeing of our residents.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate to join our team will be responsible, caring and engaging; someone who is a natural leader and who can motivate the team, especially through any challenging situations.
Our home has full PPE available for staff and full training to ensure you know how to use it to keep you safe. You will also have the option to be tested regularly for Covid-19 alongside all staff members to protect staff and residents.

This role requires an enhanced DBS check with an Adults Barred List check. Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Adults.
