We have the opportunity in our outdoor education centre for 2 Casual Housekeeping Assistants to join our team. The successful candidates will be passionate about ensuring each person who stays with us has their dietary and comfort needs taken care of.
Our centre is situated close to the shores of Derwentwater, and provides a safe, caring and home-from-home environment for up to 73 guests.
As Casual Housekeeping Assistants, you will be involved in the preparation and serving of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and evening meals. You will also be involved in housekeeping and cleaning around the centres as required. Times of work are organised in line with group requirements e.g. you may work a breakfast and lunch shift, or come in to do an afternoon and early evening shift to assist with evening meals. Please note we operate over weekends and bank holidays.
You will be required to maintain the highest standards, completing paperwork, and ensuring adherence to Environmental Health & CC procedures.
The ideal candidate will be motivated, positive, and methodical. We have a small housekeeping team, but the role involves interaction with the wider team and the guests, children, and adults, so the right person will have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate well.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with a Children’s Barred List check.
Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with adults and Children. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with adults and/or Children.
