Salary: 4.30 per hour - 159.10 per week - National Apprenticeship Wage - during first 12 months. (if 19 years old or over, after 12 months your salary will increase to minimum wage for your age)
Hours: 37 hours per week

The Service Centre is a key delivery mechanism for the Council's services, providing efficient services to its customers, both internal and external, its partners, officers and members, and the Council's digital strategy.
Our Service Centre team provide a variety of key service provisions such as Purchase to Pay, Payroll, Recruitment, Blue Badge Service, Welfare, Free school meals, ICT Service Desk, Highways Hotline, Complaints, FOI’s and Registration. We deliver a high quality service that meets the customer needs (both internal and external) whilst optimising technology and improved processes to deliver an excellent customer experience.
The Role
We currently have 2 apprenticeship positions available predominantly based within the Purchase to Pay team, ICT service desk and Blue Badge team. Working within these team you will be responsible for providing support through managing payments to suppliers, maximising cash flow and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations (i.e. VAT and taxation). You will undertake a wide range of tasks such as the monitoring, reconciliation and processing of transactions. You will be supporting both managers and members of the public with information and queries, ensuring a professional approach at all times. Also issuing blue badges and logging tickets on service now as well as been first line support on the ICT service desk.
There will also be an opportunity to work across the whole of the Service Centre with the other teams and support to help you fulfil all the criteria within your apprenticeship. This includes Recruitment, Payroll, Highways Hotline. The Highways Hotline provides front line assistance for members of the public reporting highway defects and queries both over the phone and by email. The Payroll team support internal users on all matters in relation to pay and benefits and the Recruitment team support all aspects of CCC’s recruitment process, mostly through an online ticketing system.
