A commis chef is the most common starting position in many kitchens and in principal the most junior culinary role. A commis chef prepares food and carries out basic cooking tasks under the supervision of a more senior chef. The primary objective of the commis chef is to learn and understand how to carry out the basic functions in every section of the kitchen.
Working within a residential care setting, as part of this role you will engage with residents and staff in order to understand residents' food and drink preferences. You will also develop menus that reflect the resident's preferences with a balanced and wholesome diet to meet varying nutritional requirements. This is an excellent opportunity that offers a wide range of transferable skills.
Aptitude Assessments and Eligibility Checks will take place between 1st and 12th April 2019. All applicants will be invited to attend on a specific day and must be available to attend on the day specified in order to be considered for the next stage in the recruitment process.
