Cumberland Council are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated manager for our Residential care Home in Longtown.
Eskdale House is based in the centre of Longtown, and our home provides a safe and comfortable environment for the elderly, the physically frail and for those living with Dementia.
About the role
As our registered manager you will have the opportunity to lead, motivate, inspire and empower your tram, you will have overall responsibility for the health and safety of our residents and staff and also facilitate management of the buildings.
You will provide expert advice to managers, staff and partner agencies and represent the service at external meetings, establishing strong links with multi-agency teams across Cumbria.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate for this role will have significant experience working within a registered care setting, ideally in a residential setting for adults.
We are looking for applicants with advanced knowledge of CQC requirements and the ability to work in a fast moving and flexible work environment, with an NVQ 4 in management or equivalent experience.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with an Adults Barred List check.
Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Adults. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with Adults.
