Night Support Worker Vacancies - South Lakes
Are you hardworking, flexible, and friendly?
Do you have good responses and the ability to adapt?
It takes someone special to work in care – do you have what it takes?
We have opportunities for kind, compassionate and flexible people to join our South Lakes homes as Night Support Workers, providing support and care to older adults during this challenging time. This is an opportunity to make a direct and positive impact to the lives of our residents, while beginning a rewarding career in care with Cumbria Care.
As a Night Support Worker, you will support our residents between 9.45pm and 7.30am, and this is an incredibly important role in our homes; one where you will get to know our residents individually and support their wellbeing through physical and emotional care.
You will be responsible for administering medication, ensuring all security checks are completed, dealing with emergencies, and assisting our residents with any of their needs. It’s a role with a great deal of responsibility, and we are looking for people with good responses, the ability to adapt, and who can make safe and confident decisions to support the wellbeing of our residents.
Previous experience in a care environment is desirable but ultimately, we are looking for genuinely caring and dedicated individuals, who have a willingness to learn and an understanding of what is needed to care for someone. You will be joining friendly, hardworking teams, who always strive to ensure an environment of safety and respect.
Joining our teams and working as a part of the Cumbria Care service offers many opportunities for candidates, and we pride ourselves in the training and development we offer employees and how we can support you on your career pathway. An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Care is essential.
We offer full training and support to make sure you are confident and ready to provide great support to our residents. All our homes have full PPE available for staff and full training to ensure you know how to use it to keep you safe. You will also have the option to be tested regularly for Covid-19 alongside all staff members to protect staff and residents.
Currently we have various hours available at Maudes Meadows Residential Home in Kendal and at Christian Head Residential Home in Kirkby Stephen. However, we are always looking for staff across Kendal, Windermere, Kirkby Stephen, and Milnthorpe, so if you are friendly and like working as part of a large team please apply today.
