Salary: £36,371 - £37,568
The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the county wide Emotional Health and Wellbeing team who work with vulnerable children in need within Cumbria County Council’s Children’s Services. Our team works collaboratively with children and young people, their families and care givers, social workers, and all other involved professionals to improve their emotional wellbeing.
The Role
As an Emotional Health and Wellbeing Practitioner, you will work with, and for children and young people by carrying out consultations, assessments and therapeutic intervention via direct work in order to bring about positive change to support them in reaching their potential. You will work with carers, increasing their skills and confidence in providing therapeutic care for children who have experienced loss and trauma. Provision of consultation and training for the team around the child is a key part of the role.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a hard-working and motivated team member to join us. A Social Work or other relevant degree (e.g. Teaching, child development, psychology) is essential, as is evidence of on-going professional development. You need to be confident and able to contribute to team skills development. This role requires extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, national and local policies on current issues relevant to all children’s service provision. You will work closely with a wide range of people so must be an exceptional communicator.
This role requires an enhanced DBS check with a Childrens and Adults Barred List check. Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Adults and/or Children.
