Salary: 4.15 per hour - 153.55 per week - during first 12 months. (If 19 years old or over, after 12 months your salary will increase to minimum wage for your age)
Hours: 37 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to start their career in Human Resources (HR) with Cumbria County Council, developing and learning through a supported apprenticeship within the People Management Team. The People Management Service provides professional and high quality HR solutions across the diverse workforce of 4,500 (Full Time Equivalent) including health care, social work, highways, education and professional services, by advising and coaching managers on employment issues.
The role is an exciting developmental role, providing the opportunity to work across all areas within the service to develop a broad and thorough understanding of employment matters within the Council. You’ll be embedded within the team, working with them to deliver some exciting strategic HR projects, providing advice and guidance to managers on a range of subjects and supporting the day to day delivery of the service, gaining practical experience that will perfectly compliment your apprenticeship scheme requirements.
You will need to be highly motivated, keen to learn and able to work in a fast paced and changing environment.

Aptitude Assessments and Eligibility Checks will take place between 9th and 27th March 2020. All applicants must be available to attend on the day specified in order to be considered for the next stage in the recruitment process.
