We are looking for an experienced individual who can operationally lead financial compliancy across payment processing within Cumbria County Council. This is a new post within the Financial Services Team that will support the modernization of payment processing in the organization.
The post offers a challenging opportunity to someone wanting to make a real difference in the way the business and its suppliers manage ongoing creditor and debtor operations. Initially, there are a number of large projects deliverables across financial systems during 2014/15, and this post will work with colleagues and suppliers to ensure effective and timely compliancy within the council's payment terms. The post holder will work closely with the Accounts Payable and Receivable Manager to review existing processes both internally and externally and liaise directly with customers to improve practices and ensure financial compliancy.
This is a pivotal role within the organization and candidates should have extensive financial experience, strong analytical skills, be innovative by challenging existing practices, and have excellent customer skills.
